Curriculum
Pomario offers a fully CAPS aligned curriculum from Grade 1 to Grade 12. We also have a preschool where we accommodate children from as young as 3 years old, as well as a Gr R and Gr RR class. We are proud of our unique, personal approach which is achieved through teaching in classes that are small enough to ensure personal attention to every child. Cambridge Curriculum
Since 2020, Pomario offers the Cambridge curriculum as an alternative for students in the high school. We have adopted the Cambrilearn model, which suits our needs well. We are proud to be the only school in our area which offers students the opportunity to follow an international curriculum whereby we prepare them for studies in South Africa as well as overseas.
L.E.A.P
Learner support and early intervention is part of our DNA, therefore we established L.E.A.P. (Learning, Educating & Assisting Pupils) in 2021. Through this programme, we offer after hours classes in Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Reading Support and Homework Assistance. We also serve as a hub for Occupational Therapy and we hope to open a remedial class in the near future.
Admaths
We believe that mathematical aptitude serves as the foundation for many other subjects, therefore we run an advanced mathematics programme for students in Grade 4 to 8 after hours. In these classes, advanced mathematical skills are mastered, paving the way for a successful future!
